Description
Dr. Allison Adams is Associate Professor of Saxophone at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. An avid performer, she is a member of both nief-norf, a contemporary music collective, and The Estrella Consort, a saxophone quartet that was recently featured as ensemble-in-residence at the 2022 Alba Music Festival in Italy. Adams frequently performs with the Knoxville Symphony and has also performed/presented at events such as the World Saxophone Congress, International Saxophone Symposium, and North American Saxophone Alliance Conferences. Adams is currently co-authoring a saxophone method book that focuses on pedagogy for collegiate methods class students and band directors, to be released in Winter 2023 through Oxford University Press. Adams is a Selmer and D’Addario Performing Artist.
