Nashville-based musical chameleon, Arjuna “RJ” Contreras, has played everything from Rockabilly with Reverend Horton Heat, Disco with the genre’s queen, Donna Summer, “Nuclear Polka” with Grammy Award-Winners Brave Combo, Country with American Idol finalist Josh Gracin and Texas-based band, Eleven Hundred Springs, and most recently Rock & Roll with JD McPherson! In November '22 he was featured for a full week as the house band drummer on the popular NBC variety talk show, Late Night with Seth Meyers! RJ is known for the energy, soul, and excitement he brings to music, both as a performer and an educator. Arjuna is a highly sought-after clinician and guest artist, as well, and has presented at major music gatherings such as the Texas Music Educators Association Convention and the Percussive Arts Society International Convention. Additionally, Mr. Contreras is a member of the Percussive Arts Society, where he serves on the Drum Set Committee.
