GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Responsible for all facets of sales & marketing of Company products, i.e., devising and implementing sales & marketing strategies, developing and achieving sales forecasts, developing sales & marketing budgets to including domestic and international sales and marketing.
2.Recommend development of appropriate products, policies and programs necessary to achieve sales objectives for domestic and international sales.
3.Develops and administers appropriate management infrastructure necessary to achieve sales & marketing objectives.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:
1.Achievement of sales & gross profit budget
2.Review daily sales and orders
3.Monitor field sales force for monthly sales performance, expenses, consignment accounts.
4.Supervise Director Sales (National Accts), Regional Directors International Sales, District Managers, Director Product Marketing, Graphics, Web Designer, Director Educational Programs & Events, Sales Administrator.
5.Supervise training and maintain sales force and marketing staff including recommended hires and terminations. Training to include product, policy, selling skills, marketing skills, etc.
6.Administration of related sales and marketing expenses, budgets, etc.
7.Position Company with retail dealers and the general market in accordance with agreed to objectives
8.Recommend and develop strategic sales and marketing objectives.
9.To ensure effective communication and interaction within the sales and marketing departments, as well as with related departments such as manufacturing, IT, credit and finance, etc.
10.Review and approve (with President) all new dealer applications.
11.Review and approve all school leases and college samplers.
12.Review and activate all dealer terminations with cooperation of President and VP Finance.
13.Work with manufacturing to develop correct product mix and ensure product availability.
14.Periodically review standard industry practices regarding methods, structure, policies, pricing, etc. to ensure company is competitive.
15.Assist in coordinating with District Managers and Artist Relations Coordinator an ongoing clinician and key endorser program.
16.Company liaison to industry committees and functions, as directed by the President.
17.Involvement, approval and planning of current and future marketing projects and functions.
18.Coordinate sales and marketing seminars for dealers and/or District Managers.

PRE-DETERMINED QUALIFICATIONS:
1.College degree in business and/or marketing. A minimum of 7 – 10 years senior level sales and marketing experience (domestic/international) in consumer products with proven track record in increasing sales.
2.Successful field sales experience and sales management experience in band instrument industry is preferred but not required.
3.Broad functional experience in areas of marketing, business and market development, market research, and planning, as well as promotions and advertising.
4.Strong leadership qualities and interpersonal skills with customers and employees.
5.Highly organized and able to handle multiple priorities.
6.Strong negotiation, communication, planning, organization, and selling management skills.
7.Demonstrated ability to lead, communicate, and get results from a diverse range of individuals.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1.Requires long periods of sedentary work.
2.Requires some traveling both domestically and internationally.
