We are pleased to announce the establishment of the Conn-Selmer VIP initiative launched in the fall of 2011.  To date, over 180 of our nation's most revered music administrators and educators have enjoyed a day at Conn-Selmer highlighting the American-made manufacturing of woodwind, percussion and brass instruments, special sessions with product experts, and one-on-one meetings with all of the corporate staff.  This project represents a major step forward in linking music education to the music industry world and, in doing so, it supports the creation of a synergistic partnership focused on benefitting the positive growth and development of music in our schools.

John Stoner, President/CEO of Conn-Selmer, Inc., commented, "We have truly enjoyed having these exemplary educators with us.  Initially we thought it was our goal to avail the teachers to the importance of developing a mutual bridge-of-communication, but we are quickly discovering *we* are the ones learning more from our guests than we could ever measure. We look forward to inviting many more new people to our Conn-Selmer home."

AccordingDrTim.jpg to Dr. Tim Lautzenheiser, Vice President of Education, "Conn-Selmer's VIP program is unique, exciting, awakening, enlightening and a great experience for everyone involved.  It is a ONE OF A KIND program that brightly shines the spotlight-of-recognition directly on the visiting guests.  We consider this to be a privilege and an honor to extend a red carpet invitation to those dedicated music educators who are committed to "program excellence."  The synergistic opportunities of creating a working-growning-powerful partnership with music-in-our schools is the ultimate win-win, particularly when it is guided by the mission-oriented passion of every master teacher.  Most importantly, we are certain the real benefactors are the young musicians in the rehearsal rooms today who are destined to be "the leaders of tomorrow."'

Kelly_Bryan.jpgKelly Bryan, is serving as the VIP coordinator; she has created a winning blueprint bookending with an early morning launch "in the President's office," to the final dinner farewell's.  When asked about the VIP program, Kelly said, " This amazing experience is packed with visitations, meetings, tours, and an ongoing dialogue concerning the various ways all parties can collectively support the future of music-learning and music-making.  It is what we hope will be the beginning of a long and healthy relationship between outstanding educators and Conn-Selmer's Division of Education."
